The short version
AIBets is free to you. Betting operators pay us. When you open an account through one of our links, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you.
That is a real commercial interest and you are entitled to know about it before you act on anything we publish. The rest of this page is the detail.
Who we are
AIBets is operated by Prize Drop (Pty) Ltd (registration number K2025717109), an independent information and affiliate referral service.
We do not accept bets. We are not a bookmaker and we are not a casino. We do not hold your stake, your deposit or your winnings, and we are not a party to any bet you place.
Prize Drop (Pty) Ltd is part of a group of companies. Some of the affiliate agreements with betting operators — including the agreement with Betfred — are held by another company in the same group, under a written agreement between the two. We mention it because a disclosure about how we are paid should describe what actually happens rather than a simplified version of it.
How the money works
- We publish reviews, comparisons and predictions.
- Our links to operators carry a tracking code.
- If you click one and open an account, the operator can attribute that signup to our group.
- The operator pays either a one-off fee, a share of their revenue from your account, or a mix of the two — to whichever group company holds the agreement with them.
- Commission rates differ between operators. Some pay materially more than others.
This costs you nothing. You do not pay more, get worse odds, or receive a smaller bonus because you arrived through us. Where we can negotiate a better welcome offer for our readers, we do, and we say so.
How we decide rankings
Given that operators pay us different amounts, "trust us" is not good enough. Here is the actual rule:
Operators are scored against published criteria. Commercial arrangements are not one of the criteria and do not determine a position in any table.
What we score:

Two honest caveats, because a disclosure that only says flattering things is not a disclosure:
- We do not review every operator in the market. We generally review operators we have or could have a commercial relationship with, which is a real selection effect. It is not the same as being paid for a ranking, but it is not nothing, and you should factor it in.
- Where two operators score equally, the one we have a relationship with will usually be the one listed. We will not invent a quality difference to justify a placement.
Only licensed operators
We only list and link to operators licensed by a South African provincial gambling board. We do not take commission from unlicensed or offshore operators targeting South African players, and we will not link to them.
Where we know the licence details, we publish them. If you find an operator on our site that is not properly licensed, tell us at [email protected] and we will remove it.
What operators do not get
We do not sell your personal information and we do not hand betting operators your email address, phone number or name.
Our tracking code identifies the referral, not you. If you open an account with an operator, you give them your details yourself, on their site, under their privacy policy. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy at /privacy.
If you have opted in to marketing, we may send you promotions relating to operators we work with. Those come from us, to our own list, and the operator does not receive your contact details for us to do it.
Predictions are not guarantees
Our commercial interest is in you opening accounts, and we would rather state the obvious than have you work it out later: that interest does not make our predictions any more likely to win.
No prediction is a guarantee. Our model estimates probabilities; it does not know results. Betting is entertainment, not income, and over time you should expect to lose money. We publish losing selections alongside winning ones.
